It has been a very busy few days! We decided to take a side trip to Chattanooga, TN. The journey will add an extra few days onto our travels as we will have to back track to get to the Tennessee Tom Bigbee waterway. It is absolutely glorious here on the Tennessee River, back tracking will be a pleasure!!! We have had to call for railroad bridges to raise, several locks to go through and some docking procedures. We decided we need more fenders!! We have met lots of fun people, even hosted a dinner party for 6 last evening on the boat with Susan, Theresa, John and Robin Ehardt (traveling on a beautiful Chris Craft Roamer). Chattanooga here we come!
Tonight we head to Goose Pond Marina, will be in Chattanooga Sunday morning. We were informed that the Tennessee Valley Authority will be lowering the river 3 feet to help the Mississippi due to the drought. Mike said it won’t adversely affect us.
