January 17-22 (The Twins Arrived!)

January 17, 2023, Clare Marie and Lucas Arthur arrived!!  Big sister Nora Jo is going to be very helpful!!

We traveled from Stuart to Fort Pierce on January 17, 2023, when  Angela called to let us know they were on the way to the hospital!  The twins were arriving.  We were so excited and did not have to wait long as the babies were anxious to be here, arriving one hour after they got to the hospital.  We can’t wait to see them! Grandma Jan and Aunt Lauren are helping with the babies this first week and we will get there as soon as we can!  Thank God all are healthy!

We spent one night in Fort Pierce, this was a very nice facility with close shopping and fun restaurants.  We ate dinner at “Cobbs”.  The next day we set out for Melbourne, Florida.  We stayed at a small marina, Eau Gallie Yacht Basin.  We met my dear friend Bonny’s sister there and she took us out for a great evening.  From Melbourne we traveled north to Titusville.  Several loopers were staying there and we did meet up for cocktails.  Our final stop before heading out to return to Ste. Genevieve and then fly out to meet the new grandchildren was Halifax Marina in Daytona Beach.

Below on the left is the entrance to the Eau Gallie Yacht Basin in Melbourne.  Lots of folks live on their boats there and everyone was helpful with our lines.  That evening Nancy Thompson, Bonny’s sis picked us up for dinner at the Chart House.  We had a superb dinner and great company!!

Below is Matt, Korbelak from Sea Bear.  We were on the Tennessee Tom Bigbee with Matt.  He is doing the loop by himself in a 25 foot sailing boat.  The other couple are also loopers, Susan and David Neilan, from Canada.  They are traveling on a 36 foot Monk Trawler.  We had some good conversation and shared stories.  David and Susan had been to Cape Canaveral for the Kennedy Space Center tour.  Matt is babysitting another looper’s dog!  It really is a neat fellowship of like minded travelers!’

We left Titusville and headed to Daytona Beach.  No Agenda will be at the Halifax marina for about one month while we check on home and grandchildren!  We loved riding bikes on Daytona Beach!  We will fly out on January 24. Prior to that we plan to tour the Daytona 500 and have rented a car to drive to Blue Spring State Park. The park has natural warm springs and this attracts the migratory manatees.  About 200 manatees are hanging out there now!

To the left is the ICW (Intercostal Waterway) near Daytona.  You can see the marked canal.  Above is the Halifax marina and No Agenda docked for the month!

Life is like a box of chocolates!! Anyway,  I will be resuming the blog when we return to the boat February 20, 2023!  God Bless!
