March 21, Travel Day 60, Myrtle Beach

We left Georgetown in the morning and traveled 6 hours and 25 minutes to get to Myrtle Beach, Barefoot Landing Marina.  Our friends Chris and Laura decided to anchor out a few days and we will catch them again in Southport, NC.  The scenery was unbelievable.  Cypress swamps with alligators, turtles, osprey, eagles, heron, cormorants, ducks, etc….   We traveled on the Wacca Wache river which is part of the ICW.

We arrived at Barefoot Landing Marina, Myrtle Beach and took off on our bikes.  The view on the left is the ICW from bridge height.  The right is the beach/Atlantic Ocean.

Below is the view of No Agenda from the deck at LuLu’s, Myrtle Beach, and the right is a view of LuLu’s from the boat!  The boardwalk area had 52 restaurants, 50  shops and the Alabama Theater.  We stayed 2 nights and spent time on the beach, bike riding, washing the boat, laundry etc.  We met Captain Tuck who pilots the Paddleboat for tourist.  He gave Mike a lot of tips for traveling north.  We also met a looper couple Pam and Mike Yelle who stopped in for a visit.  They will complete their loop in Southport.  It is hard to believe we are half way through this journey!
