April 27, Travel Day 81, Kent Narrows, MD

We left beautiful St. Michaels and traveled 12.3 nautical miles, 1 hour and 59 minutes o Piney Narrows Yacht Haven Marina.  The weather was shifting and we had to change our original plans to go by boat to Annapolis, MD.  The Chesapeake was going to get rough with 3 -4 foot seas and rain was expected.  Fortunately for us the marina was covered.  It rained steady for at least 4 days.

Mike and I rode bikes afer arriving.  The town had a 20 mile paved bike trail that went along the East Bay of the Cheasapeke.  It was a good think we did because the next four days were cold and rainy!iI made friends with the neighbors lab puppy. Parker!

We made plans to do the walking tour of the Naval Academy.  We had breakfast first at Chick and Ruth’s Deli.  This place has been on Diners and Drive-Ins and Dives! The walls were lined with portraits of famous patrons and the food and service were great.  Fun stop!  When we got to the Naval Academy they would not let me in because I was carrying a back pack.  The others went to the Naval Academy and I went off to tour Annapolis on my own!  I did find the boat show!  A family near the gate gave me their extra ticket so I enjoyed the boat show and as the name of the boat below indicates, did some “Lollygaggin”.
