May 4, Travel Day 82

Vickie and Stan were Mike’s crew from Kent Narrows to Rock Hall!  I drove their car to the next stop so they had an opportunity to travel by boat in the Chesapeake!  They did have 2 foot seas and some rolling waves but they were real troopers!

We made it back to Annapolis and went on the Naval Academy Walking Tour.  One young man from Ste. Genevieve attends the Naval Academy.  We did reach out to him, but caught him in the middle of his Finals!  Good luck Sam!  We are all proud of you!

The curriculum at the Naval Academy is very tough and the discipline even tougher!  It was really awe inspiring to be on the campus and the experience  left me feeling very much hope and pride for our younger generation!

We stopped at the Chesapeake Light Craft wooden boat building school!  Mike has built a few cedar strip canoes and has always wanted to see this place.

Dinner at the “Blue Heron”, Rock Hall, MD

We spent one day exploring near by Chesapeake villages including my favorite, St. Michaels!  Chestertown was also a fun stop and we went to an Amish Farmers Market, yum!

Had to say good bye to Vickie!  Besides laughing our asses off and acting like high school kids, we had beautiful sunrises, sunsets and full moons!  See you soon Sister!!
