We traveled 23.8 NM, 4 hours and 10 minutes to get to the Peterborough Lock. This is the tallest hydraulic lift lock in the world. The lift is 65 feet. We stayed 2 nights in Peterborough, there was a music festival, lots of green space for walking and biking. The town down area had some inviting restaurants. We did encounter a lot of homeless folks and some makeshift encampments along the waterway, such a struggle.
