We traveled 24.5 NM, 3 hours and 35 minutes to Leland Township Marina. Leland is an old fishing town. The fishing shanties are now tourist shops, candy stores etc, but one fish market remains complete with smoked fish. The smoked trout and salmon were very good. We met up with fellow loopers Tricia and Mike from “Darlin Lee” and spent some time catching up with their journey at “The Cove” for dinner.
We had planned on staying 2 nights in Leland but the weather forecast changed and high seas were expected the day our visitors were to arrive. We decided to travel a day early and meet them in Frankfort instead!
