We traveled 7 hours and 58 minutes or 47.8 NM from Drummond Island to Mackinaw city. Our friends Jan and Al Geisner were scheduled to meet us on August 7 for a visit. We planned to visit Mackinac Island with them, St. Ignace, Sault Ste. Marie and also take the GAWA Canyon train tour.
We rode the rails! The AGAWA train takes you on a 114 mile journey into the Ontario wilderness. We skirted the shores of beautiful northern lakes and rugged landscapes and views that inspired the Group of Seven artist!
