February 20-25

Back on the Loop!!!

Mike and I stayed in Walla Walla Washington to help Zach and Angela with the twins and Nora for 3 weeks. We had an incredible and precious time! Lucas and Claire are healthy, gaining weight and beautiful!  Nora Jo celebrated her 3rd Birthday while we were there!

Now we are back in Florida on No Agenda.

We arrived back in Daytona Beach on 2/20/23 and had a great visit with our son Scott!  He stayed on the boat with us to travel from Daytona to St. Augustine  and was able to stay a few days!  It was such a gift to get him for a few days!

Mike spent one day replacing our Windlass.  This is the motor that raises and lowers the anchor chain.  While he was busy working Scott and I toured downtown St. Augustine by bike.  We stopped at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine and did some sight seeing on the St. George Pedestrian Mall.  We had a great lunch at Meeham’s Irish Pub!

The photo on the left is Mike working on the Windlass at our current stop, River’s Edge Marina in St. Augustine on the Sebastian River.

Don’t worry, we didn’t let Mike work the whole time, we took him the next day into town and had dinner at Harry’s Seafood.  The shrimp and scallops were delicious.

My brother Reno’s Godson lives in St. Augustine and came over to the marina to meet us and have some beers while we remminesced stories about Reno.  We had great fun.  JT is quite an accomplished young man, he is a Peridontist in his own private practice and also an accomplished athlete with his own rock climbing business.  We had a great time meeting him and I know my brother was very proud of him as he talked about JT often and  fondly.

Cousin Visit!!!

My cousins came for a visit and dinner, we had a lot of fun and laughs!

Cindy Oberle Evens, Nancy Oberle, John Oberle and my son Scott.

St. Augustine is a great place to visit and vacation.

Family Visit!

Mike’s brother Paul his wife Jackie, and sister Annette, came to St. Augustine for a visit and for their vacation.  We had a great time.  They had a beautiful beach side condo and we enjoyed time there.  We toured the historic down town, visited the Spanish fort, the Castillo de San Marcos, shopped the promenade, climbed the St. Augustine Light House and did the 22 stop Trolley.  Did I mention we ate some really good food!!

Henry Flagler College tour was sold out, Mike and I are going to go on later this week.  The brick and stone work intrigued Mike, my retired stone mason as well as the Tiffany stained glass windows insured for 100 million!
