February 26-27

Flagler College Tour

We left St. Augustine on Monday, February 27.  We stayed at a free dock off of the St. John River called Sisters Creek Marina.  The marina is secluded with no amenities.  We met Bob and Amy who where docked here on their sailboat and enjoyed watching a rocket launch and having a class of wine with them.

Leaving St. Augustine and going under the Lion’s Bridge.  The bridge has carved marble lions on each end made from the same marble quarry  as the Statue of David.

Above: beautiful scenery and beautiful homes along the Intercoastatl Waterway.

Left: No Agenda docked at Sister’s Creek.

Docking here was not easy due to the swift current but a nice fisherman caught our lines and we were able to get in with ease.  Our plan today was to travel to Jacksonville Landing town down; however a fellow looper on “Smile with the Rising Sun”,  texted to tell us the current and wind were terrible and that a lot of the town down area shops and restaurants had been torn down.  Our friends Mitch and Anne who completed their loop are coming to visit us today and tomorrow.  We will drive into Jacksonville and possibly return to St. Augustine as Anne has not been there yet and it is a great destination!  Who knows, we after all have No Agenda!
