We travel home to Ste. Genevieve, Missouri today!  Just in time for a winter storm, 4-9 inches of snow predicted!  After a brief check on all things home we will fly out to Washington to visit with Zachh, Angela, Nora Claire and Lucas! We are super excited to meet the twins in person! We had a great day yesterday visiting the Blue Springs State Park and viewing lots of resting manatees!  After the park adventure we drove to Kennedy Space Center and had a great afternoon absorbing all of the advancements in our space program

The big gray “rocks” you see are actually manatees!  The park had 237 counted on January 22.  On January 23 they had 81 counted. The spring feeds into the St. John River.

The spring water is so clear we could actually see a variety of fish, Tarpon, Tilapia, Gar, turtles etc…

Beautiful park!!

It was so cool seeing some of the actual spaceships from the Apollo program and the Space Shuttle Atlantis!  The new moon exploration program Artemis is geared at actually retuning astronauts to the moon!

One of my favorite commentators, David Brooks,  recently did an op ed discussing some of the problems we face in the USA.  He reminded us that America has always had big problems but always moved forward and always perseveres.  He used these 7 words: “America has more talent than ever before.”  The tour of Kennedy Space Center certainly reinforced the perseverance and talent of our countrymen.

Side by side with all of the goodness of our country, the flag was at half mast for the mass shooting victims attending a Lunar New Years celebration in a Los Angeles county.  So unthinkable! May we continue to move forward and may the goodness and light in all of us far outweigh the other.  God bless America!
