July 25, Travel Day 130, Devil’s Door

We traveled 5.8 NM, 1 hour and 10 minutes to reach Bad River Bay, Devil’s Door anchorage.  This is a very popular spot and as we were pulling into the cove 2 large boats were pulling up their anchors to leave.  We were getting into position to drop our anchor and I noticed the boat anchored close to us was “Crustacean”!  We met Margie and Bill, the owners of Crustacean, at the AGLCA Rendeveouz last October!!  I was so delighted to meet up with them again!  They had gotten through the Erie Canal bridge prior to it breaking down and had been about one month ahead of us in traveling, so I did not anticipate catching up to them!  What a great surprise!

Bill had a drone and took some great shots of “No Agenda” and the beautiful Bad River Bay.

We all took a dinghy ride and “shot the rapids”!!

We had social hour on “Crustacean” and caught up with Bill and Margie.  It was so much fun and we look forward to traveling with them for a few more days.
