We traveled 24, NM, 4 hours to the town of Little Current. Little Current is Manitoulin Island’s largest center with grocery, post office, restaurants and a brewery! We stayed 2 nights at the downtown docks. The marina was hosting a Ranger Tug Rendezvous and our Looper friends on Piglet were attending. Crustacean, Still the One, Idaho Red and Sweet Dreams were all at the marina.
The Anchor Inn in Little Current is home to Roy Eaton’s Cruises Network. Roy has been hosting the radio show on channel 71 for boaters in the North Passage for 20 years. He provides news, sports, weather and has an open forum for boaters to call in with questions and conditions. Mike attended the morning program while we were at Little Current.
Mike and I walked to the grocery store and on our way home Roy stopped and offered us a ride! Boaters really are a kind group!
