June 2, Travel Day 97, Burlington, VT

We traveled 4 hours and 56 minutes or 29.1 NM to reach Ferry dock Marina in Burlington, VT.

We planned on staying one or two nights in Burlington, but the winds and waves were predicted to be unpleasant so we stayed for 3 nights.  Burlington was a great stop.  The downtown area was close to the marina, Church Street Marketplace was a pedestrian only street with fun shops and lots of bars, restaurants and ice cream shops!  Burlington is the home of Ethan Allen, revolutionary war hero!  We were there for the weekend and went to the farmers market down town and the artisan market close to Church Street.  Overall we enjoyed lots of walking, dining, laundry, resting and Mike and I found a great bike trail along the Champlain Lake.

Next stop: Canada!!!
