June 20, Travel Day 108, Merrickville, Ontario

We traveled 4 hours and 25 minutes, or 22.8 NM from Long Island to Merrickville.  We went through 7 locks.  With the Parks Canada pass we can dock on the lock walls if space is available.  Some areas have electric, water and bathrooms.  We stayed on the lock wall in the down town area of Merrickville.  This is a quaint little village with several restaurants and shops.  It was fun watching the teenagers swim in the lock area after hours.  We managed to get fresh city water for our boats from a near by campground with lots of hoses!!
