June 29, Travel Day 114, Frankfort Lock 6

We traveled 4.7 NM to Frankford Lock 6, it took 2 hours and 17 minutes and we went through 6 locks.  We decided to stay at the Canada Parks dockage here until after Canada Days.  On Canada Days traffic is supposed to be heavy in the lock system as the Canadians celebrate their Independence  Day.  We had power, electric, showers and a small town near by.

Swen and Katja fixed dinner one night for all of us, Spaetzle was the main course and Creme Brûlée for dessert!  This looper lifestyle is pretty tough!!

We helped the lock masters turn the crank to open the lock doors, we rode bikes, discovered a great meat market and filled our freezers, swam at the town beach and just relaxed.

We had some new loopers join us, Phil and Mary from Idaho.  Phil is a retired orthopedic surgeon and Mary managed his practice.  We have met so many really wonderful and life giving folks on this journey.
