November 2, 2022 Voyage #20

Thank you all for posting comments!  I am certainly reading them and enjoying them.  I will continue to keep comments private!  Keep them coming!!!

We are still traveling down the Tennessee-Tom Waterway.  So far 9 locks on this section of the loop completed: Whitten Lock, Montgomery Lock, Rankin Lock, Fulton Lock, Wilkins Lock, Amory Lock, Aberdeen Lock, Stennis Lock, Bevill Lock, Heflin Lock,  Demopolis Lock …..one more to get through tomorrow, Coffeeville Lock.

October 30, it rained almost the entire trip from Midway Marina to Columbus, Marina.  I used all of my junk towels and my chamois mop to get the boat clean and dry, had a regular Ste. Genevieve clothes line on the aft porch!!

It was a drowned rat day, cold, wet, industrial!

Locking in the rain!

October 31, Halloween (or as my friend Bonny said “Boataween”, we had a much better weather day!  We traveled from Columbus Marina to Warsaw anchorage.  We shared the anchorage and the trip with fellow loopers, Sue and Bill on Blondie and Art and Sharon on Grand Plan!  I even got to trick or treat by paddle board!!  Nora Jo went as a very impressive “Lady Bug”!!!

It was hard to leave this beautiful anchorage but we pulled the anchor up early in the morning so we could meet the other loopers to lock through the Howell Heflin Lock at mile marker 266.0.  We traveled to Demopolis, Kingfisher Bay Marina at mile marker 217.    This is a great marina with wonderful amenities.  The town of Demopolis has a courtesy trolley and a large group of loopers did go to town to eat dinner at the “Red Barn”.  The restaurant really is an old barn!  It was fun and the food was very good.

Other loopers and attractions along the way!
